It's A Sign

There were many signs at this past show. Some that were so unique and rare, signs of all shapes and colors and logos that would have looked great any place you put them, whether on a barn, inside your home, on a garden cottage. Take a look and tell us what you think. We'd love to hear your thoughts.

A homemade sign invites you to come in because they are still "open". Open to what you say, whatever you dream up.

The School Supplies Sign would look great in a child's room or if you homeschool your children wouldn't this be a great conversation piece in your room.

Now look at the Beauty Shop sign, would that look great in a bathroom or any place you really.

This Wilhome Farms sign would be a great addition to a barn, cottage, or even inside your home.

I could so picture this tires sign in a man cave or it would just be a great sign to add to any collection you had and what about that wagon?

I love this old game sign. Wouldn't it look cool in a game room.

I'm not exactly sure what the red and white sign is, it just has great patina. Tell me if you know what it is.

I've had a few "for sale" signs in the past and they are always great conversation pieces.

Now this last sign isn't really a sign, it's a chalk board, but I love what was written on it:

I hope you've seen something here that you wish you would have taken home with you or maybe you did. The Spring show is around the corner. We hope you are making plans to come to it.

Here's wishing you a Happy New Year from the Marburger Farm family.

Checking Your List

We are one week out from Christmas and I'm sure you've checked your list and checked it twice.  Making sure you haven't forgotten anything important or most of all that special person's gift.  Just remember you are just as important as the one that's on your list.  Take time for yourself too.

Have you seen something in the last few posts that you wish you would have bought.  Maybe you didn't get to make it to the show but you've done plenty of shopping from the pictures we've posted.

Here's more of what was at the Fall Show.

Do you see several things you wish you would have added to your list?  Go ahead and make plans to attend the Spring show.   You'll be glad you did.  It'll be here before you know it.

Awnings

I'm not sure what it is about awnings that I love so much. I think it's the versitility of them. You could use them outside your home, which was the original purpose but why do that. Reuse them in unique ways, like inside your home, over a door way, kitchen window, above a bed or over your office desk. The ideas are endless.

Here are a few awnings that caught my eye during this past Marburger Farm Show:

The awning below sold before I even had a chance to take a picture of it (actually there were three). The original use was not an awning, it was a vintage shade that was inside vehicles to block the sun, but I used it over a window as an awning:

Now this last awning is actually still attached to one of the buildings located on the Marburger Farm property. No it's not for sale, but I wanted to encourage you to explore the buildings the next time you come to the show.

Who knows what you might just find inside one of these cool buildings.

Elegant Antiques

I love the diversity of antiques that can be found at the Marburger Farm Antique Show. Seeing so many pretty and elegant antiques made me want to totally redo my house.

There is always something here for each individual, no matter what your style is, whether you are into elegant antiques, primitives, cottage or country, or a mixture of it all, it can be found here. That’s the diversity of the vendors that set up at this show.

Just take a look at a few displays that were here during the Fall Show. Before you know it the next show will be around the corner. We hope you make plans to come and see us in the Spring.

Turn The Light On

And leave it on. The lights that were at this past Fall show were too pretty to leave off. If I had them in my home I’d leave them on all day just to look at the beauty of them.

From fine chandeliars to industrial lighting can be found each season here.

Now look at all the chandeliars that were in this booth. See how well they work when surrounded by different antique styles.

Who wouldn’t love a chandeliar with ruby’s or one made from an industrial stand and of course the sconces would look lovely anywhere.

You could take a gorgeous iron light or lamp and place it anywhere in your home, inside or out.

Now you see why you definately don’t want to miss any shows. If you come in the Spring, we’ll leave the light on!

More Show Pics

Hello all. I can't believe we are so close to Thanksgiving. I wanted to continue showing you more pictures of vendor's spaces at this past Fall Show at Marburger Farm.

Everywhere you went there was inspiration at every turn. A lot of the vendors always had such great ideas that with Thanksgiving next week I thought I would show you some inspiration that might help give you ideas for your home.

I love using urns with pumpkins and bittersweet. These urns were made to last and would look great either inside or out.

A pretty outdoor table with flowers could also be used inside, maybe in a breakfast nook.

Of course everyone needs a turkey platter. This one was in great shape. Many times you find them chipped or faded.

I guess I just have a thing for urns, but then again so did several vendors. There were many to choose from. You couldn't go wrong no matter which one you bought.

Here's a different decorating idea. A pretty cubbard to hold your dishes, no matter what season.

The loving cup would be great to use any where in your home, as would the white cabinet and beautiful statue.

Silver items are just timeless. They never go out of season and look good whether used during Thanksgiving, Christmas, or all year long.

I close with one more urn/loving cup with a beautiful white pumpkin. I hope you saw some great things you were wishing you could have bought. Now you see why you shouldn't miss any shows.
